The lowest note indeed seems to be C2. I've also changed the highest note and the key from F-minor to C-minor.

Waits very clearly goes way before a G#2 - I wrote C#2 (Dflat2) but you could argue that he starts from C2. I'm not sure where this original notation comes from.
