Dr. Will Hughes is a baritone who has performed with major opera companies including The Dallas Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Florida Grand Opera. Critics have praised his handsome tone and beautiful vocal quality as a vocalist. He has performed leading and supporting roles in numerous operas spanning classical and contemporary works, and maintains an active concert performance schedule. His operatic repertoire includes roles in CosĂŹ fan tutte, Les pĂȘcheurs de perles, The Consul, Madame Butterfly, and Billy Budd. Concert credits feature major choral works including Vaughan Williamsâ Hodie and Five Mystical Songs, Bachâs MatthĂ€us-Passion, and Brahmsâ Requiem. Dr. Hughes maintains both in-person and virtual voice instruction for diverse student populations, emphasizing pedagogical development and helping students discover their potential as singers. He is a dedicated voice instructor and collaborator at East Carolina University School of Music.
