Veronica West is a voice teacher at Bellinghome School of Music in Bellingham, Washington. She has been singing since childhood, beginning formal music education at age four. Veronica participated in the Pacifica Choirs in Seattle from ages 7-18 and performed at major festivals including NW Folk Life and ACDA Conventions. She has toured internationally with choral ensembles to Germany, Austria, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, and Portugal, specializing in performing music in dozens of languages and possessing strong training in solfege and interval work. She teaches voice lessons for ages 10 and up in both classical and contemporary styles, offering instruction in beginning music theory, vocal embodiment practices, audition preparation, sight singing using solfege and Kodaly method, and stage presence and performance confidence building. Beyond teaching, she performs locally under the name VtheLight, covers multiple genres, and is developing an original album. She also works as a certified Sound Healer creating sound bath events.
