Tom Baroco serves as Director of Music at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida, a position he has held since 1997. He is also an instructor at the University of West Florida, where he supports the instruction of Musical Theater Voice, Music Direction and studio classes. With graduate studies in vocal pedagogy, choral conducting and piano from the University of Notre Dame, Tom specializes in liturgical music ministry, music direction for theatre, accompanying vocal ensembles, and composition. His work spans choral music from the oldest hymnody traditions to todays best choral composers, plus contemporary and multicultural genres. As an independent recording artist, studio accompanist and arranger, he has studio experience working at Eagles Nest Recording Studio in Colorado Springs and Lucky K Studio in Pensacola. His recent music direction credits include productions of Floyd Collins, Mystery of Edwin Drood, and Illyria for UWF, Fiddler on the Roof for the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, and The Wizard of Oz for Pensacola Little Theater. Tom also performs as a keyboardist and has been involved with the band Mass Kunfuzion in Pensacola.
