Tina Milhorn Stallard
About
Tina Milhorn Stallard is a Professor of Voice and Associate Dean at the University of South Carolina School of Music, where she has taught since 2004. A soprano praised for her gorgeous and colorful voice, she has performed as a featured soloist with major orchestras including the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra. Her international performance career includes Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center debuts, as well as roles with leading opera companies including Opera Omaha, Central City Opera, and Cincinnati Opera. She has premiered contemporary works and appears on chamber opera recordings. Stallard earned her Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and is an alumnus of the University of Kentucky. She received the Annemarie Gertz Prize from the National Association of Teachers of Singing and was named a 2015 Palmetto Center for Women TWIN Award Honoree.
