Tiffany Du Mouchelle is an accomplished soprano and Assistant Professor of Voice at the University at Buffalo, where she directs the vocal performance program and opera workshop. She is a renowned voice artist whose career spans classical, world, contemporary, cabaret, and theatrical works, with the remarkable distinction of performing professionally in over 100 different languages. Dr. Du Mouchelle is the recipient of the prestigious Richard F. Gold Career Grant for American Opera Singers and has performed with world-class ensembles including the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Bang on a Can All-Stars, Center for Contemporary Opera, Yellow Barn Music Festival, Skalholt Summer Music Series in Iceland, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and the American Composers Alliance. She attended Mannes College of Music at The New School in New York City, where she earned both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees studying opera and classical voice techniques under Amy Burton and Ruth Falcon, and was mentored in contemporary singing techniques by Lucy Shelton. Her doctoral studies in Contemporary Music Performance were completed at the University of California San Diego under the mentorship of Susan Narucki, Steven Schick, and Chinary Ung. In her voice studio, Dr. Du Mouchelle teaches an exceptionally diverse student body including classical singers, contemporary art music specialists, Peking opera singers, Classical Hindi Music specialists, and musicians specializing in jazz, blues, and Afro American genres from around the world. She teaches Break on Through, a creative empowerment course for performers, and is co-founder of the Aurora Borealis Duo.
