She is a dynamic and unique vocalist trained by her father, the late Richard Whichello, a distinguished musician. Therese operates Therese Whichello Studios, where she strives to give the gift of music through quality technique, authentic feedback, and a collaborative approach that emphasizes making music accessible and enjoyable for all students. Therese never makes a vocalist into something they are not; instead, her goal is to merge proper vocal technique with each student's individual style and artistic vision, honoring their unique voice and musical preferences. For piano students, she fuses traditional learning methods, particularly the Faber Piano Book series, with outside pieces to create a comprehensive musical world. Beyond her teaching work, Therese is an accomplished performing artist. She performs regularly with a backing band featuring local jazz legend Joe Goldberg on saxophone and piano, along with the formidable bassist Brian Hall. Her versatility as a musician, combined with her gift for teaching, makes her a valuable resource for singers and pianists of all ages and levels seeking quality instruction and mentorship.
