Terry Hodges
About
Terry Hodges is a bass-baritone and Instructor of Voice at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he teaches private voice lessons and group instruction. He has had a long and varied career spanning over 35 years in professional opera, musical theatre, and concert productions. Throughout his career, Mr. Hodges has performed over 100 operatic and musical theatre roles in professional productions all over North America, including spending 7 years touring with the role of Monsieur Firmin in The Phantom of the Opera in the Toronto and Canadian National Tour productions, with over 2,500 performances in that role. Since making his operatic debut in Omaha with Opera Omaha in 1987, Mr. Hodges has appeared in productions with over 40 companies including Boston Lyric Opera, Texas Opera Theater, San Francisco Opera Center, Vancouver Opera, Carnegie Hall, Santa Fe Opera, and many others. His extensive performance background combined with his passion for teaching allows him to provide his students with professional-level instruction. He brings real-world operatic and musical theatre experience directly into the studio, helping singers develop strong technique, interpretation, and stage presence.
