Dr. Teresa Stewart-Meli is the owner and founder of Musicology: Music Studies for EVERY Mind in Denton. After experiencing a life-altering stroke at age 35, she redirected her research focus toward neurodiversity in music education. She specializes in teaching typical, neurodiverse, and mature minds using research-based methods. Her studio was voted "Best Private/Group Lesson in Denton, Texas" in 2024. She is highly educated with vast experience in teaching piano, voice, conducting, and music theory. Dr. Stewart-Meli is particularly adept at working with neurodivergent students and is described as incredibly encouraging and positive. Her studio offers four themed performances annually, an all-inclusive festival, and two summer camps. She is a published author of "Diversity in Music Education: Honoring the Languages, Literacies, Abilities, and Cultures of All" (Bloomsbury, April 2025). Dr. Stewart-Meli was a higher education instructor for approximately 10 years.
