Ted Federle
About
Ted Federle is an Instructor of Music in Voice at Duke University, where he has taught since 2017. A lyric baritone with a golden-tone and dreamy legato, Ted brings dramatic life to his performances. He holds a BM in Voice Performance from Bowling Green State University, an MM in Voice Performance from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and is a graduate of the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Ted has performed with numerous opera companies including St. Petersburg Opera (as Silvio in I pagliacci), NC Opera, Pensacola Opera, Mobile Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Nashville Opera, Piedmont Opera, Opera Saratoga, Opera Colorado, and Greensboro Opera. He has also worked in Musical Theater, joining the workshop cast of Paris Through The Window. A native of Cincinnati, Ted is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and primarily resides in Winston-Salem, NC.
