Suzanne Kompass is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Artist-in-Residence at Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she is the Master Vocal Teacher. She is a platinum recording artist and extraordinarily versatile performer whose talent encompasses all genres of music, including opera, operetta, art song, and Broadway classics. Her extensive operatic repertoire includes leading roles in Marriage of Figaro, Faust, Magic Flute, Don Pasquale, Barber of Seville, Merry Widow, La Boheme, and La Traviata. Suzanne has appeared as a guest soloist in major music festivals including the Spoleto Festival in both Charleston and Italy, and the Huntsville Festival in Canada. Her performances have included prestigious orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Westminster Festival Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, and Vancouver Symphony, working with renowned conductors including Zubin Mehta, Carlo Maria Giulini, Robert Shaw, and Daniel Barenboim. She earned the prestigious T. Edgar Shields Prize in 2013 for excellence in studio teaching. Suzanne is a master voice teacher with students on three continents, many working professionally in opera, Broadway, and theatre. She directs the Opera Ensemble and Song and Stagecraft Ensemble at Moravian University.
