Stephen Guggenheim is an experienced vocal instructor with over 30 years of private teaching experience. Beyond his teaching career, he maintains an active professional singing background and works as a Cantor. He has instructed classes in voice, music history, musicianship, and pedagogy, with additional expertise in liturgy and choral music. His methodology emphasizes healthy technique, breath, projection, support, alignment, and the love of music. Stephen aims to help students achieve their goals, release tensions, and express love and healing through the expression of singing. His students range from casual music enthusiasts to professional performers working in opera, musical theater, jazz, folk, pop, and rock genres. He offers 45-minute lessons both in-person and via Zoom/FaceTime, maintaining studios in both the North Bay (Fairfield) and South Bay (San Jose area) with multiple locations.
