Stephanie Foley Davis is a mezzo-soprano and Master Teacher of voice at The Music Academy of North Carolina in Greensboro, where she has been teaching since 2011. She was appointed Associate Director of voice faculty and has previously served as Chair of the Voice Faculty and Director of Community Engagement. Stephanie has distinguished herself both as a performer and educator with an extensive career in professional opera. She was praised by the New York Times for her performance as Ma Moss in her Glimmerglass Festival debut, described as poised and touching. She has performed in leading roles throughout the United States with prestigious companies including Arizona Opera, Nashville Opera, Glimmerglass Festival, and nearly every professional opera company in North Carolina including Opera Carolina, Piedmont Opera, North Carolina Opera, and Greensboro Opera. Her performance credits include leading roles in Greensboro Opera Carmen, Piedmont Opera Madama Butterfly, the Winston-Salem Symphony Beethoven Nine, and Verdi Requiem performances at UNCG as a distinguished alumna. Stephanie is both an active performer and dedicated voice instructor in the Greensboro area with a distinguished career bridging professional opera performance and vocal pedagogy. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
