Stella Markou
About
Dr. Stella Markou is a Professor of Voice & Opera and Voice & Opera Area Coordinator at the University of Kansas School of Music. A Greek-American soprano described as exquisite by Gramophone, she has performed internationally as a soloist in oratorio, opera, and on the concert stage. With a D.M.A. from the University of Arizona, M.M. from Cleveland Institute of Music, and B.A. from Oberlin Conservatory, Markou brings extensive training and international performance experience.
