Sophia Massad is an accomplished musician and vocal coach from Oklahoma City, known for her distinctive 'sultry to sassy' vocal tones that define her alternative and indie-rock artistry. She began her musical journey at age twelve, performing at various venues including the Oklahoma Centennial Rodeo Opry and American Kids Inc. Sophia studied the Ease of Speech vocal technique beginning in 2009 and attended the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM@UCO), where she founded OKC Vocal Studios and began her private vocal coaching practice. As a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Sophia released her first single in 2013 and later released her freshman EP as both writer and co-producer, demonstrating her mastery of piano, guitar, and ukulele. Her vocal coaching specializes in Speech Level Singing technique, allowing students to sing any style comfortably while maintaining healthy vocal production. Sophia's teaching breaks down the components of the human voice, enabling students to control resonance, tone, pitch, EQ, and diction. Her musical influences include Alabama Shakes, Amy Winehouse, and Fleetwood Mac, and she brings this contemporary aesthetic to her teaching.
