Sheila Dunn
About
Dr. Sheila Dunn is a soprano and Professor of Voice in the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music at the University of West Florida. She teaches applied voice, vocal pedagogy, vocal literature, opera workshop and women in popular music. Dr. Dunn maintains an active career performing with opera companies and as a concert artist, with experience spanning classical repertoire from Handel to contemporary composers. She served from 2013-2022 as the Director of the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music at the University of West Florida. Dr. Dunn received the 2011 UWF Distinguished Teaching Award and earned 2014 Quality Matters certification for her online course on women in popular music. Since joining UWF in 2007, she has been dedicated to training the next generation of vocalists through comprehensive instruction in technique, repertoire, and performance practice.
