Shaya Greathouse

Shaya Greathouse is an accomplished mezzo-soprano vocal instructor at Sounds of Carolina in Greenville and Anderson, SC. She brings over a decade of professional performance and teaching experience to her students. Shaya earned her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the prestigious Eastman School of Music and her Bachelor of Music from Biola University. Her performance career has included engagements with the Eastman Opera Theater, Rochester Lyric Opera, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, demonstrating her excellence as a classical performer. Beyond her vocal studio work, she serves as Music Director at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, where she leads worship and develops musical programming. Shaya's teaching approach combines her extensive performance experience with strong pedagogical training, emphasizing proper technique, musical interpretation, and the development of confident, expressive singers.
