Sharon Shaffer
About
Sharon Shaffer is an accomplished soprano who has taught voice for over 30 years. After establishing an international performance career as a soloist, she returned to the Cleveland area to establish her studio in Shaker Heights. An alumna of The University of Michigan, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and Cleveland State University, Shaffer holds a BMA in Vocal Performance and an MMA in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy with a concentration in Choral Conducting. Her students have achieved professional success with major orchestras, opera companies, Broadway productions, and recordings nationwide. Shaffer is the former Conductor and Artistic Director of HaZamir Cleveland (8-year tenure) and current choral conductor of The Park Synagogue Choir in Cleveland Heights and Pepper Pike, Ohio. She has conducting experience at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Metropolitan Opera.
