Sarah Fortenberry
About
Sarah Fortenberry is a lyric soprano and voice instructor at Centenary College of Louisiana and Bossier Parish Community College. She has taught applied voice across Louisiana and Mississippi since 2010 and is highly regarded in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Sarah earned her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Mississippi College, studying under Viola Dacus, and her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Louisiana College, mentored by Loryn Frey. She performed operatic roles including Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte and Countess Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro. As a Regional NATS winner at the graduate level, she was also a featured soloist with Mississippi College Singers, including performances at Carnegie Hall. Sarah won the Alsup Vocal Award three consecutive years at Louisiana College. She leads music ministry at Summer Grove Baptist Church alongside her husband Jeremy.
