Sarah K. Decker is a soprano vocalist and dedicated voice instructor who maintains a private voice studio in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, while serving as adjunct faculty at Lycoming College. With a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Houghton College and post-graduate studies at Pennsylvania State University, Sarah brings extensive classical training and pedagogical expertise to her teaching. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and received the prestigious 2018 Joan Frey Boytim Award for excellence in vocal pedagogy. Sarah completed specialized training in contemporary commercial music pedagogy at Shenandoah University, expanding her expertise beyond classical technique to serve students interested in popular music styles. Her performance experience spans opera, musical theatre, and concert work with regional orchestras and choruses throughout Pennsylvania. Sarah places great importance on continuing her education to best serve her students, currently pursuing a degree in music therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes building solid vocal foundations, proper breath support, and helping students develop both technical proficiency and artistic confidence.
