Samone Hicks is an accomplished performer, teacher, and songwriter with an M.M. (Master of Music) degree. A native of Sarasota, Florida, she brings extensive experience in vocal performance and music education to her teaching. In Fall 2021, Samone Hicks joined the voice faculty at Bethune-Cookman University, where she gladly assists students to become the best musicians they can be. As an Instructor of Voice, she works closely with vocal students on technique, musicality, and performance preparation. Beyond her academic role, Samone has established herself as a recording artist and songwriter, having released her own music and contributed as a writer and arranger on projects for other local artists. Her multifaceted background in performance and composition informs her teaching approach, allowing her to guide students not only in vocal technique but also in the creative process of music-making. She is committed to fostering musical excellence and creative expression in her students while maintaining an active career as a professional performer and musician.
