Russell McCook is the founder and director of Blue Mango Music Studio, a student-centered voice and music instruction studio located in Rhinebeck, New York. With a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University and a Master of Arts in Music Education from New York University, Russell brings extensive educational training and performance experience to his teaching practice. Before founding Blue Mango Music Studio in the Hudson Valley, he spent years as a professional performer in regional theaters and Off-Broadway productions, as a music director in schools and camps, and as an educator studying music pedagogy and how students learn. Russell has collaborated extensively with Hudson Valley cultural organizations including SUNY New Paltz, The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck, Star 2B Performing Arts, Dutchess Community College, and Marist University. His studio philosophy emphasizes that 'music is a language everyone can speak,' and he provides personalized, growth-oriented voice lessons designed to help each student build confidence, skill, and joy in their singing and musicianship. Russell offers private voice instruction for all ages and skill levels, as well as audition coaching for students pursuing performance opportunities.
