Robert Hoefer is president and CEO of Pitch Doctors LLC, a comprehensive voice studio in Greenville, SC dedicated to developing singers of all ages and skill levels. With over four decades of experience in the music industry, Hoefer brings a unique blend of recording and performance expertise to his vocal instruction. His career began as a bass player and founding member of Midnight Blue, a funk ensemble from Columbia during the 1970s-80s that contributed to recordings on major labels including Motown Records and Polygram Records. The ensemble regularly opened for prominent touring acts throughout the Southeast. Following his recording career, Hoefer transitioned into vocal instruction, where he has coached both youth and adults for more than three decades, earning recognition as a 2014 Grammy Award nominee for Educator of the Year. At Pitch Doctors, Hoefer emphasizes one-on-one vocal techniques, stage performance training, and goal-setting instruction. He provides performance opportunities through recital programs called "fun sings" and annual competitions featuring awards across multiple divisions. His comprehensive approach combines technical vocal development with practical performance preparation.
