Dr. Robert Best is Associate Professor of Voice and Recruiting Coordinator for the Voice Division at Baylor University School of Music, where he has been a member of the Vocal Studies Division since 2001. A lyric baritone, Dr. Best has been featured on three CDs devoted to vocal chamber music and voice with piano accompaniment on Capstone Records. Reviewers have praised his "rich and attractive voice as well as an astute musicality" and his "warm baritone voice." Dr. Best is a faculty member at the Colorado Vocal Institute, and his students have performed all over the world including at the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, and Houston Grand Opera. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance/Pedagogy from the University of Colorado at Boulder where he studied with Barbara Doscher and Robert Harrison. He also earned BM (Vocal Performance) and MM (Vocal Performance and Vocal Performance/Pedagogy) degrees from Arizona State University where he studied with Jerry Doan.
