About
Renée Landry is a powerful jazz and soul vocalist and vocal coach based in Ottawa. She is recognized as a force in the local music scene and has been featured in Ottawa Life Magazine as one of Ottawa's best musicians, described as a powerhouse of Northern Ontario soul. With over a decade of professional musical experience and ten years as a dedicated vocal coach, Renée brings passion and authenticity to her teaching. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Jazz/Soul Vocal Performance from Carleton University, where she was classically trained. Her professional performance credits include major Ottawa venues and festivals such as the Ottawa Jazz Festival, Ottawa Bluesfest, NAC Fourth Stage, Live! On Elgin, and other prominent local performance spaces. She is best known for her acclaimed live show Back To Black: A Tribute To Amy Winehouse. Renée has released four EPs including Memoirs Of A Broken Heart, Chin Up, Like A Boss, and A Christmas Night. Her music regularly airs on CBC Music. Her teaching approach emphasizes somatic and evidence-based methods with a focus on vocal health education for singers of all levels and backgrounds. She operates LAB Studios, her private home studio offering lessons, consultations, and vocal health support.
