Rebecca Whittington
About
Rebecca Whittington is a soprano and voice teacher based in the Brookline area who specializes in classical voice instruction. She is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she performed with the Opera Theater, Early Music Ensemble, and Contemporary Music Ensemble, as well as a graduate of Boston University College of Fine Arts. With five years of teaching experience, she works with students of all abilities, voice types, and musical interests, helping them improve vocal range, musicality, confidence, breath control, posture, and tone consistency. As a performer, Rebecca regularly appears with Marsh Chapel Choir, Winsor Music, and Emmanuel Music, including recent featured soloist performances with the Evansville Philharmonic in The Messiah and Emmanuel Music in St. Mark Passion. She has also performed under the baton of John Williams at the Tanglewood Music Festival.
