Rebecca Geihsler-Chittom
About
Dr. Rebecca Geihsler-Chittom is an Associate Professor of Music and Chair of the Music Department at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. A native of New Orleans with extensive operatic and musical theatre experience, she has been teaching private voice and leading vocal ensembles at Belhaven since 2009. She is a specialist in vocal pedagogy and performance, having studied at the University of Mississippi where she held a University Fellowship and Opera Assistantship. She has been a finalist in State and Regional NATS auditions and has performed at the National Opera Association Convention and Midwest Opera Festival. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Geihsler-Chittom serves as music director for Belhaven theatre productions and conducts the Belhaven Chorale and Vocal Arts Ensemble.
