About
Rebecca Blinder is a Seattle-based voice teacher and operatic soprano praised by Opera News for her 'pearly tone.' She relocated to the West Coast in 2019 after teaching voice and performing in New York for over twelve years. She earned both Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Voice Performance from The University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, and trained at various music festivals and young artist programs, with studies in Bel Canto, Alexander Technique, and Yoga. As a performer, she has sung roles including Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Nedda in I Pagliacci, and Micaรซla in La Tragedie de Carmen, performing across the USA, Europe, and Middle East. Her teaching employs individualized instruction emphasizing vocal health and tension-free technique, incorporating full-body awareness, breathing, posture, and mindfulness. Her former students have performed in film, television, national tours, regional theaters, and venues including New York City Opera and the Academy Awards.
