Rachel Hall is a classically trained Soprano and co-owner of Chapel Hill School of Musical Arts in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she serves as a voice instructor with over 15 years of professional experience. She holds an MM in Voice Performance from Manhattan School of Music and a BM in Voice Performance and Music Education from Appalachian State University. Rachel's performing career has taken her across the United States with renowned opera companies and symphonies, including performances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, The Santa Fe Opera, and with the Canton Symphony Orchestra. Her extensive performance background informs her teaching, bringing real-world professional insight to her students. Rachel began her teaching career as an undergraduate student working for former CHSMA owner Sharon Szymanski, and has grown into a leadership role as co-owner of the school, which now serves over 500 students with a team of 30 teachers. Since becoming co-owner, Rachel has focused on creating a positive environment that fosters musical growth and artistic development. Her teaching emphasizes efficient, effective, and healthy voice techniques while reducing tension and improving breath control and resonance across multiple vocal genres.
