Phoebe Sorgen is a classically trained voice teacher with a distinguished professional singing career spanning decades. She performed on the San Francisco Opera stage and brings extensive experience in classical vocal technique and repertoire to her teaching. Fluent in French and Italian, Phoebe offers voice and piano instruction to students of all ages and levels. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes technical mastery of difficult vocal repertoire, solid ear training, and building student confidence. Phoebe's students have become fully committed to her teaching because of her deep knowledge and technique in helping students master challenging pieces of music. Beyond music education, Phoebe has served as Commissioner for Peace & Justice and Commissioner of Disaster and Fire Safety for the City of Berkeley, reflecting her commitment to community service.
