Peter Waidelich
About
Peter Waidelich is an Associate Professor and Assistant Chair at Daytona State College's Mike Curb College of Music, Entertainment and Art, where he serves as Director of Instrumental Music. With over two decades of experience in music education, starting in August 2004, Professor Waidelich is a dedicated educator who teaches music theory, music appreciation, popular music in America, applied trumpet, college band, orchestra, and music history and literature. He serves as Music Director of the Daytona State College Community Symphonic Band and is the primary contact for instrumental music auditions and ensemble enrollment. Professor Waidelich holds extensive expertise in music pedagogy and instrumental instruction, working with students at all levels from beginner to advanced. He encourages community involvement in college music ensembles, welcoming musicians who can perform at the high school or advanced middle school level or better. His commitment to music education extends beyond the classroom, as he actively promotes musical engagement in the wider Central Florida community through ensemble performances and educational initiatives.
