Pamela Hinchman is a soprano and Associate Professor of Voice at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music, where she has taught since 2004. She maintains an extensive performance history across major international venues in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. She was hand-picked by composer Gian-Carlo Menotti to create the title role in his world premiere of The Bride from Pluto at the Kennedy Center. Her operatic repertoire spans classical roles including Susanna, Pamina, Norina, and Adele across companies such as San Francisco Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, and Cleveland Opera. She has performed with major orchestras including the National Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, and Hong Kong Philharmonic. She emphasizes versatility and cross-vocal training using the Estill Vocal technique, with particular strength in musical theater and jazz genres. As a Fulbright Scholar, she developed Western classical music curricula for Mongolian conservatories and founded Songs without Borders, a cross-cultural music exchange program spanning India, Thailand, Africa, Mongolia, and Guatemala.
