Pamela Beasley
About
Pamela Beasley is a soprano with extensive operatic and musical theater experience performing with companies including Fort Worth Opera, Birmingham Civic Opera, and Pensacola Opera. She has been a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall and recitalist in Rome, Italy, with active oratorio engagement history across Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, and New York. Beasley has been a UVA faculty member since 2004 and currently serves as Vocal Coordinator. She has held previous positions at James Madison University, Mary Baldwin University, Liberty University, University of Mobile, University of South Alabama, Auburn University at Montgomery, and Operafestival di Roma. She teaches applied voice instruction, voice class, solo vocal literature, vocal pedagogy, vocal diction, opera workshops, and choral ensemble direction, and co-directs the 'Voice for the Stage' ensemble.
Education & Qualifications
Master of Music from Southwestern Seminary; Bachelor's degree from University of Montevallo (member of Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Kappa Lambda); additional studies at Boston Conservatory and Shenandoah Conservatory
