Nicholas Meyer is a baritone and multi-faceted musician maintaining an active singing and teaching career in Portland, Oregon. He has taught thousands of lessons to diverse students including professional musicians, public speakers, rock and hip-hop artists, hobbyists, and beginners across all experience levels. With over 30 years of piano playing experience, Nicholas offers voice lessons, piano lessons, and combination voice plus piano instruction. Mentored since 2015 by world-renowned voice teacher David Jones in New York City, Nicholas is trained in the Swedish/Italian School of Singing technique for classical voice and opera. He also owns Lydian Music Studios in SE Portland, a welcoming and creative space for music lessons, rehearsals, classes, and performances. Nicholas creates positive, encouraging environments tailored to each student's unique needs, teaching all styles from classical opera to jazz, rock, hip-hop, and contemporary genres. His comprehensive musical background allows him to provide singer-songwriter accompaniment coaching and work effectively with performers seeking to develop both their vocal and instrumental abilities.
