Nathan De'Shon Myers is a versatile baritone and Associate Professor of Voice at Arizona State University's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. With a career spanning two decades, he brings a passion for teaching and extensive international performance experience to his work. His professional background encompasses opera, jazz, and gospel performance across multiple continents, including five seasons as a fest soloist at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He has performed with prestigious opera companies including Lyric Opera of Chicago, Dallas Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Central City Opera, Berliner Staatsoper, and Theater Trier. As a passionate teaching artist, Nathan specializes in studio voice instruction at multiple levels, performance courses, solo performance, and music pedagogy. He also serves as Conductor of the ASU Gospel Choir, bringing his passion for African American musical traditions to the university community. His hybrid career spanning performance, private instruction, and educational leadership provides him with unique insights into vocal technique and the business of music.
