Natalie Connor is a versatile soprano and music educator based in Lafayette, Louisiana. Originally from Indiana, she moved to Lafayette to earn her bachelor and master degrees in voice pedagogy and vocal performance at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Natalie founded the Natalie Connor Music Studio in fall 2020, which has grown from a handful of students to 18-25 enrolled per semester across two locations within four years. Her studio motto is "Developing character and confidence through music." She serves as assistant camp director and adjunct instructor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Vocal Arts Camp, where she teaches audition workshops and Class Voice courses. As a crossover artist, Natalie performs across opera, musical theatre, contemporary genres, recitals, and concerts. She has performed throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, New York, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana, including recent roles with UL Lafayette Opera Theatre. Originally trained as a classical pianist, she offers instruction in multiple vocal styles including pop, opera, country, musical theatre, and jazz, as well as beginning to intermediate piano with emphasis on theory and musicianship. Her students range from ages 5 to 65, including college audition preparation and school musical training. Natalie is actively involved in community service, regularly volunteering at nursing homes, as a Meals on Wheels driver, and with United Way for food-insecurity meal packaging.
