Nancy Andersen
About
Nancy Andersen is Chair of Vocal Studies at The Hartt Community Division and co-founder of the Hartt Summer Musical Theatre Intensive at the University of Hartford. She has been a dedicated member of the faculty in the Vocal Studies Division and the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz at The Hartt School. As head of voice in the Hartt Community Division, Andersen provides leadership and instruction in vocal performance across multiple genres. Her experience spans classical vocal training, jazz performance, and musical theater performance and coaching. She is deeply committed to developing singers at all levels and has created educational opportunities including the acclaimed Summer Musical Theatre Intensive program. Andersen holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from West Chester University, Kodaly Certification from The Hartt School, and has done further graduate work at The Hartt School in Vocal Performance.
