Monica Isomura
About
Dr. Monica Isomura is a professional mezzo-soprano singer and dedicated voice educator who maintained one of the leading private voice studios in Houston for 13 years before relocating to the Philadelphia area. She has served as Education Coordinator and Children's Chorus Master for Opera in the Heights since 2016, and held teaching positions at The Kinkaid School, HSPVA, Lone Star College-Cyfair, TUTS Humphrey's School of Musical Theater, HGOco, and The Emery/Weiner School. As a registered NATS instructor and Teaching Artist with Young Audiences of Houston, her students regularly earn leading roles in opera and musical theater, achieve All-State Choir membership, win voice competitions, and gain acceptance to prestigious conservatories including Northwestern, Yale, Juilliard, and Vanderbilt.
