Michelle Ellis
About
Michelle Ellis is the founder of Mellis Music Studio in Abilene, Texas, where she teaches voice to students of all levels from beginner to advanced. A classically trained vocalist, Michelle has been singing since age 6, beginning with church solos and progressing to formal classical training at age 12 through public school choir and competition participation. She holds a minor in music from Hardin-Simmons University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Tarleton State University. Michelle studied private voice lessons with Dr. Lynnette Chambers at HSU. As a performer, she leads worship at Beltway Park Church and performs live music with Matt Ellis at local venues including The Mill and Moose Mountain Coffee. Her teaching focuses on healthy singing technique, vocal freedom, improved form and sound, and building confidence in vocalists. Michelle is committed to helping students sing healthily and grow as performers across various contexts.
