Michele Voilleque
About
Michele Voilleque is a voice teacher and singer offering singing and speaking lessons online and in-person in Berkeley, California. She has been teaching private voice lessons to children and adults since 2008, helping hundreds of students improve their vocal abilities. Michele specializes in helping people of all ages develop a healthy and playful relationship with their singing and speaking voice, especially working with people who have been told they 'couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.' Her teaching approach is grounded in physics, cognitive science, and anatomy, focusing on managing both body and mind, addressing muscle tension issues, and using creative approaches including metaphors and visual explanations to help students understand vocal mechanics. Michele completed Orff Schulwerk Certification at the San Francisco School and from 2004 to 2015 directed Children's Music Programs at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley. She offers private, paired, and group lessons that include ear training and music theory when helpful.
