Dr. Meredith Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of Southern Mississippi School of Music. A soprano and Mississippi native, Dr. Johnson is dedicated to training future music educators and supporting singers of all skill levels. She teaches voice lessons, vocal pedagogy, diction, and vocal literature to both undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to her university teaching, she maintains a private voice studio and offers online courses including 'Virtual Vocal Academy' and 'Audition Bootcamp' for students worldwide. Dr. Johnson specializes in equipping singers with vocal strategies for success in multiple genres including opera, musical theatre, and commercial music. She brings expertise in both classical and belt techniques, helping singers develop versatility and healthy vocal practices. Her teaching philosophy focuses on evidence-based methods and individual student growth.
