Melynda Davis
About
Melynda Davis is an accomplished American lyric soprano based in Boston, Massachusetts, with extensive teaching and performance experience. She is currently the soprano section leader at the First Baptist Church in Lexington and serves on the rosters of Boston Lyric Opera and Opera Boston. Melynda teaches classical voice and musical theater to students ages 10 and up, providing them with a solid foundation of healthy vocal technique based on her extensive operatic training. She specializes in helping singers develop the classical vocal technique that underlies all professional singing styles. Melynda is an active member of the Boston singing community, serving on the Board of Opera on Tap Boston and Boston Singers Resource.

Professional soprano training with extensive operatic and classical performance experience. Competition awards include first place in the NATS Competition and second place in Boston's Leontyne Price Vocal Arts Competition
