Melissa Williams
About
Melissa Williams is an active performer and teacher in Colorado who founded South Boulder Vocal Studio. She holds an MM in Voice and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado where she studied with the late Barbara Doscher, and trained at the Boston Opera Institute with Sharon Daniels and Phyllis Curtin. Melissa completed the Winter Intensive with Double Edge Theater in Massachusetts, studied acting with Michael Lugering (The Expressive Actor), and is a trained Intimacy Coordinator. She continues her professional development through membership in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). As a performer, her recent credits include playing Dolly Levi in HELLO DOLLY in Boston MA (Spring 2022), the Fairy Godmother in CINDERELLA at the Candlelight Dinner Theatre, and M'Lynn Eatenton in Steel Magnolias with the Broomfield Players (August 2024). As a theatre educator, she has taught acting, musical theatre, character creation, creative improvisation, and physical theatre. Many of her vocal students are currently studying at Boston Conservatory, Pace University, University of Michigan, and in NYC.
