Megan Poff
About
Megan Poff is a coloratura soprano and vocal performance specialist with an extensive background in classical and contemporary music. She is currently serving in the Music Department at York College of Pennsylvania and offers private voice instruction from her home in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. Megan earned a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Lee University, a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Mars Hill College with a minor in English, and is currently completing her Graduate Certification in Writing at Millersville University with an emphasis in music criticism and literature. She brings international performance experience, having performed across the United States and Europe, from local theater venues to Broadway's Rocktopia. Megan has taught many area professionals who have performed in prestigious regional and national theater venues including Sight and Sound Theatres, the historic Fulton Theatre, Dutch Apple Theatre, AMT, PRiMA, Hershey Area Playhouse, and numerous National Broadway Tours. Her teaching focuses on the four schools of singing: French, German, Italian, and English traditions, with emphasis on proper technique and authentic interpretive approaches. Megan is particularly noted for her expertise in Baroque and 20th Century repertoire, combining historical accuracy with contemporary vocal pedagogy. She is passionate about helping singers develop expressive artistry and technical excellence for both classical and musical theater performance.
