Matthew DiBattista is an accomplished American tenor and voice teacher with over 25 years of international performing experience. Described as brilliant by Opera News, Matthew is in demand on prestigious stages throughout the United States and Europe, having collaborated with renowned conductors including Charles Dutoit, Seiji Ozawa, Keith Lockhart, Sir Andrew Davis, and Robert Shaw. He has performed over 60 different operatic roles spanning the full range of opera literature and has appeared as a concert soloist with multiple orchestras including the Boston Landmark Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, and Wichita Symphony. Professionally trained at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (M.M. and Artist Diploma in voice and opera) and Boston University (B.M.), Matthew has also studied extensively in Lucca, Italy, and at the prestigious Tanglewood Music Festival. As Lecturer Voice Faculty at Boston University since 2017, he brings extensive teaching credentials including positions at Boston University Tanglewood Institute, DeSales University, Lehigh University, and private teaching practice in the Boston area.
