Matthew Asti

About

Matthew Asti is an Artist-Lecturer in piano and voice at Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he teaches voice and music for students in all disciplines. He is a versatile pianist and vocalist with training in multiple musical traditions and approaches to vocal pedagogy. Matthew holds a Master of Arts degree in Voice Pedagogy from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, completed as a 2023 graduate of their advanced program. He also earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Piano from Leeds Conservatoire in England. His unique approach to music education integrates knowledge from his training in yoga and mind-body awareness, including certifications as a Yoga Teacher, YogaVoice instructor, and Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). Matthew teaches voice and provides music direction at the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre and performs throughout the tri-state area with his jazz duo, Two for Tea. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Transformational Leadership at Moravian University. His teaching philosophy emphasizes helping students develop authentic musical expression through understanding the mind-body connection.
