Matt Farnsworth is a highly acclaimed voice teacher based in New York City who has been teaching voice since 1995, when he became the consulting coach for Broadway's groundbreaking production of Rent. Throughout his nearly 30-year career, he has instructed hundreds of Broadway actors, film stars, and recording artists, with his students earning Oscar, Tony, and Grammy nominations and wins. Notable students include Sara Bareilles, Carly Rae Jepsen, Constantine Maroulis, and Pia Toscano, who have gone on to perform on Broadway, in national tours, regional theaters, and film/television. Matt currently serves as the Official Vocal Coach for the Broadway productions of & Juliet and Dear Evan Hansen, and has coached students in numerous other Broadway shows including Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Hadestown, and The Book of Mormon. His recent film work includes Netflix productions such as Jingle Jangle and The Prom, as well as movies like Respect and The Color Purple.
