About
Martha Ana Lopez is a celebrated lyric coloratura soprano, classically-trained pianist, vocal educator, and recording artist based in Sarasota, Florida. With 25 years of comprehensive teaching experience, including 12 years at the college level, Martha is a trusted provider of both voice and piano instruction. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Stetson University and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of South Florida. An avid art song enthusiast, Martha performs nationally in recital and has released four professional recordings. Her performance experience includes engagements with Opera Tampa, New Century Opera, Saint Petersburg Opera, North Port Symphony, and the Pops Orchestra of Sarasota. In the spring of 2022, Martha returned to the Voice Faculty at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, where she previously served from 2007 to 2019. She is the Director of Music at Church of the Nativity in Sarasota, where she serves as organist, pianist, and choir director. Martha teaches voice and piano lessons for adult learners from her private studio in Sarasota, located one mile south of the intersection of University Parkway and Honore Avenue.
