Martha Guth
About
Martha Guth is an Associate Professor of Voice at Oberlin Conservatory of Music. A Juno-nominated soprano, Guth performs at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall, Lincoln Center, and Ravinia. Critics have described her interpretations as Magical and Truly amazing. She co-founded Sparks & Wiry Cries, a nonprofit focused on art song publication, performance, and commissioning new works. Her discography includes several recordings, notably a Juno-nominated album of Healy Willan songs and a 2016 Latin GRAMMY-nominated album with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico. Previously at Ithaca College, Guth has served as faculty at SongFest and the Vocal Academy for Collaborative Piano and regularly presents masterclasses at universities across North America.
