About
Mark Womack is a voice faculty member at The Hartt School, University of Hartford. A distinguished baritone, he made his Broadway debut as Marcello in Baz Luhrmann's highly acclaimed production of LA BOHEME and has built an impressive career performing leading roles with major opera companies nationwide. With a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from the University of Tulsa, along with doctoral studies at the University of Connecticut and post-graduate work at Boston University's Opera Institute, Womack brings world-class training and experience to his teaching. He has appeared in leading roles at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall and performed with organizations such as Knoxville Opera, Utah Festival Opera, and Syracuse Opera. Beyond performance, he maintains an active private voice studio and brings decades of professional experience to vocal instruction.
